COMMISSION RESULTS In 2025 I had a request to commission personalised letter art . 'A for Amelia ' was adorned with 7 dainty and beautiful New Zealand native botanicals for baby Amelia 's bedroom. Soon followed the request for 3 daughters to have a New Zealand native bird paired with a New Zealand native plant. Maania (M) has Tui & Pohutukawa , Ngaire (N) has kiwi & ferns and Torin (T) has the Pukeko & Kawakawa. Do you have an idea you would like to bring to life? It might be the first letter of your name adorned with your favourite flora/shells/or with a bird you like. Maybe it's yours & your partners initials with each of your favourite NZ native flowers (perfect for anniversary gift). It could be your favourite flower on it's own, whatever nature idea you can think of. These were all illustrated on A4 bockingford cotton fibre watercolour paper. Choose from A6, A5, A4. If you're looking to get A3 this is possible too, I will just need longer to work on it. Right now I'm taking commission spots for January, February & March 2026 . An A4 commission takes approximately 2-3 weeks to complete depending on content and complexity of your chosen design. Get in touch, and let's get your idea on paper for that special gift! Let's bring your vision to paper! Get in touch with using the form below. Include details like paper size and elements you want included . I will reply with a quote and we can discuss details and expected timeline. To confirm your commission spot, a 50% deposit is required , once paid a rough layout sketch is completed. Once placement is approved, we then moving on to actual sketch, at this point a few small changes and tweaks can be made. The paint stage is next, the exciting part! You receive multiple progress updates at this stage until it's complete. There is 7 days to send through the final 50% of the commission , and once it has been received, your beautiful commission is carefully packaged and will include a complimentary greeting card and bookmark , also included is your certificate of authenticity which includes the paper type of the original, materials used, paper size, date of completion, my name and signature and of course the name of the artwork. My nature art prints are printed locally in Wellington at The Big Picture. All my art prints are 250gsm with a tintoretto gesso finish and are available as A4 prints (297x210mm) and A3 (297x420mm) 2. What materials do I use to create my artwork? My original artwork is painted on to Bockingford cold pressed watercolour cotton fibre 300gsm paper. I Use atelier acrylic paint and staedtler pigment liners. Once my artwork is scanned I clear cut to make the background transparent and then I digitally colour backgrounds that can change, so customers can choose from a curated selection of background colours to suit their home decor. 3. When will I receive my print order? I regularly order stock for Markets that I attend around Wellington a couple of times a month. If you place an order most of the time I will have the item in stock and ready to send within a couple of days. If I find that the item you have ordered is not in stock, I will email you asap and let you know when my next order through the big picture with be placed. If that is not going to be soon enough I can offer another colour background or size or even a different artwork. Refund - I'm happy to refund if these other options are not suitable. 4. what are the shipping time frames within NZ? These time frames are estimates sometimes are much quicker. If you are ordering for a gift, order early with a few weeks to spare in case of print or shipping delays. Especially for Christmas time (best to order early November). North Island - 2-4 days (standard tracked) South Island - 4-6 days (standard tracked) Rural delivery North Island -4-6 days (standard tracked) Rural delivery South Island - 4-8 days (standard tracked) I will email you with your tracking number - I ship orders multiple times a week. 5. Do you ship outside NZ? This is something we are working towards and hopefully we will have options for this soon.
